Power Grid IPO

Power Grid Corporation is India’s principle electric power transmission company. They
own and operate more than 95% of India’s inter state and inter regional electric power transmission system. In the capacity they own and operate 79,556 circuits Km of lines and 132 electrical sub
stations. They are ranked as the world’s third largest transmission utility by the
World Bank. Apart from power transmission business they have also diversified in to other businesses
like consultancy and telecom business. Power transmission constitute of 94% where
as the balance is constituted by the consultancy and telecom business.
